Dont Panic! | What to do! | Links |
| Step One | Get a Provisional Driving Licence! Obtained from the DVLA, you must be in possession of one by Law. Application forms are available from Post Ofices or click on link in next column. Remember, you must be 17 to drive a car in the UK. | Driving Standards Agency |
| Step Two | Take your Theory test! Although you can start learning to drive before you pass your Theory test, we strongly advise you to study and pass it prior to driving. Then, it is out of the way, you can concentrate more on your driving skills and also your road knowledge will up to scratch! (hopefully!). Be aware though, that you must pass it before taking your driving test, and the examiner will want to see the pass certificate. | Book a theory test online |
| Step Three | Fitness to drive. You must be able to meet the minimum eyesight standard as laid down by DVLA. You must also declare any health problems which may affext your ability to control a vehicle on the public highway. Contact DVLA or us if you require any clarification. | Medical rules for drivers |
| Step Four | Book driving lessons! You can book lessons over the phone, perhaps just the one so we can assess your driving skill and you can assess the service we provide! Once happy, buying lessons in bulk provides the best savings. However, if you can only afford to pay for each lesson individually then that is fine, you will still receive the very best in value for money training. | Choosing an instructor |
| Step Five | Take your driving test! We will let you know the moment you are test ready, we won't keep you hanging around. The standard required to pass your test is very high and your best chance is by being able to pass a mock exam first. These will be undertaken regularly and as you get nearer to reaching this standard, a test will be booked for you (or you can book it if you wish). Any funds remaining that you have paid us will be reimbursed - see prices page. | Book a driving test online |
