Carkey school of motoring comprises
Craig (the Instructor) and his wife,
Kate (administration) Jenkins.
 
Together we endeavour to run a School of motoring that provides the very best training for each learner driver, promoting life long driver awareness and also achieving a very high pass rate and an even higher trail of satisfied customers.
From day one, each pupil receives a log book which is used to record individual progress of every lesson. This keeps both Pupil and Instructor informed of areas that need work, reducing the time required to recap previous lessons and achieving the set goals and objectives quicker - learning to drive with Carkey School Of Motoring involves team work and lots of effort both ways. No driving round and round local residential areas, each pupil covers on average 75 miles per 2 hour lesson, covering all types of roads and situations.

Having served 22 years in the Armed Forces as a Mechanical Transport Driver, I have extensive knowledge of all aspects of driving. I was driving trucks and coaches when I was 18 and since then I have worked all over the world driving aircraft refuellers to forklifts, motorcycles to quad bikes and snow ploughs to artics. I have driven my way through most of Europe, Canada, America and the Middle East. In my later years I became an instructor for vehicle categories A, B, B+E, C, C+E, D and D1, and also an Instructor for the various specialist military vehicles in service.

Since beginning teaching in 1999, I realised this is what I enjoy doing most, hence qualifying as an ADI and starting 'Carkey School Of Motoring' in November 2007.
